@Gautam: If your team is OUT of the competition, why are ranting on about Pakistan.. Go to the airport and welcome your heroes who LOST against Banladesh.... hahaha
@Gautam: Awww... i can sense the frustration in your message... its ok.. you can watch the live hockey match on neo sports to down your sorrows... AND we will watch the finals...
@ At all who are ranting about Kohli's master piece If not been Kohli's heroics, India would have packed their bags a week ago, so, before commenting use your head.
@H Chaudhry: Your comments makes sense, which is very rare from the land of pure.
@Sami: i can very well understand your frustrations against india, never won against us in any major competetion from last one and half decade.. now finding solace in India exit.. Guys just look at the ponits tables and India has just lost one game against B'desh.. you have lost to us.. you are already under mental shock.. we had given you 44000 V shock buddies.. Cry and curse India till you find your soul find peace.
guys it is win win situation for all. India got Sachin's 100th 100, Pakistan may win asia cup, for Bangladesh it is big achievement to be in final. Only loser is Sri Lanka who couldn't win any game in this tournament.
@Pakistani Agnostic: Don't forget you guys are beaten 4-0 by Eng recently. Those who laugh at other must not forget that they are already naked.. World has seen ugly side from Pakistan. Corrupt players...going to jail... not even single country wanted to come to pak to play.. bettr luck if god helps you.. next time..to play with india.,. we will again send you packing bro..
Bangladesh got a leverage against Pakistan. You lose and we will visit your country for the cricket series.;) Though it would be fun to watch Pak and Ind play in the final.
@Rulez: This is very funny... lol
@Mr. Righty rightist: First rational post I have ever came across on this site.
So many Pakistanis and Indians are acting like silly, small men on this forum.
To Indians : India beating Pakistan doesn't prove anything. Overall, Pakistan has beaten India more than we have beaten them. Besides, India is not even qualified for the finals, so what are you bragging about?
To Pakistanis : Bangladesh is not East Pakistan. Bangladeshis in 1971 clearly said that they cannot live with Sunni Punjabi army. So, get over it. They have a new name, anthem, constitution and currency. You can call them your brothers, but they know that Pakistani brothers killed 3 mil Bangladeshi brothers.
There are suggestions that Pakistan lost to India three days go, only because its players prayed after hitting centuries.
And Allah hates hypocrites!
@ Amit:
I believe ICC champions trophy qualifies as a major tournament and Pakistan has had an upper hand over India in that on two separate occasions....
ICC Champions Trophy 2004 - Venue: Edgbaston(not Sharjah) http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/current/match/66207.html
ICC Champions Trophy 2009 - Venue: Centurion(again NOT Sharjah) http://www.espncricinfo.com/iccct2009/engine/current/match/415278.html
So it is unfair to say that Pakistan has never beaten India in a major tournament.
Other than that, I agree with you that India's recent form against Pakistan has been better.....
P.S: Just out of curiosity,Why do you want to exclude the matches played at Sharjah? Afterall it holds the record for most ODIs ever played in any ground.... It's an integral part of Cricket history and should be celebrated, not forgotten....
Peace.
Congratulations to our brother country of Bangladesh. It is rare that I would not mind if my own country does not win in a final.
@All Pakistani Fans My message to fellow brethern is that we should give credit where credit is due ! India to its credit has been playing phenominal cricket for last 6 years. While, our up coming superstar decided to indulge in to wrong activities and killed his career, Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina were killing it on the field. It is unforutnate that they did not make it to the Final of Asia cup or did not perform well in Australia / England but on average, their body of work for last 5 yeras has been great. I will leave it at that !
As for us, we have a lot to be proud as well ! Our team even at its low was able to beat England in 1 test and was close to winning others, if for not spot fixing. We did very well in ODI in England as well. Since than we have been recovering very well from all the mishaps.
My point is there is no reason to be laughing at Indian team for exiting the tournament because quite simply they did better us and would have repeated in final.
Our Indian friends should stop crying after getting knocked out as it belittles their team's efforts in the last match. Be a sport and accept defeat with dignity. I must say, Bangladesh has been a pleasant surprise in this tournament, and it will be an interesting final. Best of luck to both teams!
Believe me I am not happy. I would love to see the exciting match between Pak vs India in finals, If Bangladesh lost the match. Pak vs India final matches is all about pressure and fun. I am not excited as Bangladesh will play. As a Pakistani I admire Indian batting talent is great vs Pak.
Weldone Bangladesh.Played superbly.Desreved to be in the final....to all Indian fans plz stop attacking Pakistan Team or fans You guys should seriously put some pressure on Indian borad or Indian selectors that one man show should be cut off now and give new talent chance and IPL is really killing Indian International cricket specially Test cricket is dying in India.Drastic changes are required to save Indian cricket
Pakistan will meet Bangladesh in Final.
And
India will meet SriLanka at the Dhaka Airport ..
joke of the day!! the sponsor of the Indian cricket team has been taken over by "whisper sanitary napkins"/!!Reason..India is going through a bad period!! hehehe
Now indians will be blaming virat kholi lol. Indians are thrashed out by our mighty tigers and now they should stop underestimating us. Hope to see a great final between PAK & BD and hope the best team wins.
I think Bangladesh will win because BCCI has already fixed it to embarrass Pakistan.
Allah's will has prevailed, for the first time Asia Cup is certain for a Muslim Country.
y does every1 forget the whitewash of england and india winning 4-1 to west indies??...lol..
zeta's comments are most interesting...y only cricket...india won olympic gold medal, kabaddi world cup, womens kabaddi world cup and recently swiss open by fixing
@Amit Well there is no need to calculate excluding Sharjah matches as Sharjah was a place to where Pak / India played. But to that point, 1999 Pepsi Cup in India, Pakistan won almost every match, 1997 C&B in Australia, I think Pakistan beat India 3-1 out of 4. Twice in Canada Pakistan beat india 4-1 and 3-2, In 2004, Pakistan won in Indian 4-2 after losing first 2 matches.
My point is that this is Your Time and Pakistan cricket has been in a turmoil. You couple those things and result is you are doing very well. India on one hand has no controversies to their credit and team groomed well, we on the other hand get out of one trouble and right there second one is waiting, mostly because of our own mistakes. Nonetheless, Pakistan with current challenges is doing very well. May be winning this Asia Cup is that turning point Cricket here.
Finally, in last 65 yeras or so, perhas last 5 years is the only time when India has really been dominating Pakistan. I am fan of cricket so I can admire the Indian team.
@Zeta:
Then we could have bought the Asia Cup as well...Its amazing.... We have been the strongest economy in Cricket for last 15 years now... going by your mind blowing logic we could have bought all world cups... haan but one thing is for sure whether we buy the world cup or not we kick our north western neighbour's backside in each world cup without fail... year after year cup after cup and gosh what satisfaction i tell you .....but any way now please tell your players to not fix the finals as well...
@H Chaudhry: Sir, At first I must acknowledge and appreciate the way you have put up your comments today. I very well know that there is nothing shameful about Pakistan's losses to India either in the WC or in the Asia Cup... I commented so after reading so many unfortunate comments by your fellow countrymen after the India Pakistan game... I agree that victory trends change and its India's time right now over Pakistan and may be there could be a change in the future...I like your optimism also but every country is entitled to celebrate its success (till it lasts) and i am sure Pakistan also did it big time... As far as the 20 games difference is concerned please calculate the numbers again after excluding sharjah matches.... and now that there are no more sharjah matches since last 10 odd years see the difference....You name any major tournament held outside Sharjah where Pakistan has dominated India...sorry to say but if not for sharjah you would not have had the 20 match gap to boast about...nonetheless your point is well taken...
Pakistan will meet Bangladesh in the finals, and India will meet Sri Lanka at the Dhaka Airport.. :P
Bangladesh winning against major teams shoulnt be called an "upset" anymore.
such century makers like kholi and sachin must always be there in indian team. One make them lose maches and the other get them out of the tournament. POOR Indian team always struggle when they play outside of their home county. The Lions at Home and CHOKERS outside india.
Pakistan'll meet ßangladesh in Final,,,,, & India'll meet Srilanka @the Dhaka Airport
@H Chaudary, a classy comment unlike our friends...
@Amit What is Shameful about W/C and Last ODI loss ? Both losses were well fought ! We made 329/6 and you chased it ! Well played but there is nothing shameful about it. Similarly, in World Cup Semi Final, we fought and lost. Pakistan was team that went throught a complete overhaul, match fixing / spot fixing saga, key players banned, yet made it to semi-final and fought well.
Remember we still lead the head to head series by 20 games or so ! Sports goes in to cycles, enjoy your time, ours will be coming soon.
seeing your team's performance, only way you could have got the world cup is paying the price of it. ICC wouldn't say nothing since all its funding comes from BCCI!
be happy on your fake achievement
@Indian and All Other Indian Fans I wanted to see Pakistan Vs India final, however, I am also glad that we are not facing India again. These days India is definately better side !
Funny thing is Sports goes into cycles. We dominated you guys for good two decades, we lead the head to head series by 20 games or so but this is YOUR TIME. I am not ashamed in admitting India is a very good side so avoiding them is OK as well. Hopefully, soon when we unearth some quality fast bolwers, we will be back to normal.
and on final note, Virat Kohli is a special talent !
Ohh I feel so sorry for Pakistan... Their dream to avenge the shameful losses to India in the WC S/F and Asia Cup this year will remain only a dream (this doesn't mean that had India reached the final Pakistan stood a chance).....
Well Played Bangladesh...Today's result is a slap across the faces of people who were alleging that India-Pakistan match was fixed to ensure an India-Pakistan final...
Get real guys stop being so cynical and enjoy the game... get out of the mentality which compels you to speculate match fixing whenever Pakistan looses to India...
As for us Hamaare paas world cup hai.... tumhare paas kya hai....Asia Cup.... woh bhi doubtful hi lagta hai....
@ Giri !
Trash us in every tournament if that can help in getting you guys out of the Tournament ! It was a Do and Die for you .. Not for us . we were already in Finals ! ;)
@ Indian .. If that makes you Happy good for you ! The reality is when Kholi makes Century in tournament your teams get knocked Out of the tournament and when your Sachin makes a Century you guys cant win that game . Feel Sorry for you guys ! Better luck which i doubt next time ! I wish your players makes Centuries in every tournament and your team gets knocked out like this every time ... Ouchhh ....
@Indian: Won the battle but lost the war.
I can understand your happiness in not seeing your country getting thrashed mercilessly again by a single man in this Acup.
Sachin Tendulkar's centuries make you lose games. Virat Kohli's centuries kicks you out of the tournaments What a deadly combination :) . First in Australia now in Asia Cup :D
East Pakistan & West Pakistan meet in Final
I am a Pakistani but I really want to support Bangladesh in the final. No one has performed more consistently than them, they deserve the title. Simple as that.
Bangal tigers are also unpredictable, after all they were part of us :)
Who cares about Asia cup and Bangladesh win, India won against Pakistan that's good enough to pull crowds back to grounds for IPL.
I personally feel that India had one off-day in the Asia cup against Bangladesh, credit goes to Sachin Tendulkar's 100th century, otherwise India could have amassed 350 which could have been tough for BD to chase-down,
There goes the "world champions" .. Bangladesh fully deserves to be in Final
@PPP: yeh,and be ready to loose against india again
Bye Bye India, may see you in next asia cup :)
