Red Alert: Cessna aircraft lands near Highway

A training plane landed at a place that was one and a half kilometers from Super Highway.

HYDERABAD: A training plane landed at a place that was one and a half kilometers from Super Highway, 30 kilometres away from here in Lunikot area, after it developed a technical fault 40 minutes after taking off from Shaheed Benazirabad on Monday night. The plane’s captain, Umer Qureshi, and trainees Haider Ali and Arsalan were on board. The Cessna plane belonged to a private company, Schon Air. Qureshi said that they were flying at an altitude of 6,500 feet when they found out about the problem, after which they started searching a place to land. The plane in question will be taken apart and taken to Karachi for inspection.
