Preparations: ‘Govt all set to counter dengue’
A special chapter has been included in the educational syllabus for spreading awareness among the youth, CM said.

“The government is all set to face the possible dengue outbreak this year,” Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Sunday. He directed all the departments concerned to work in coordinated manner for the effective countering of the dengue virus. He was talking to the assembly members and representatives of provincial departments. He appreciated the role of doctors, nurses, paramedical staff and elected representatives in providing treatment to the patients in 2011 and saving thousands of lives. He said all possible steps were being taken to tackle the possible outbreak of the virus. He said trainers and people associated with the departments concerned had been trained abroad in this regard. A special chapter has been included in the educational syllabus for spreading awareness among the youth, he said. The chief minister urged the elected representatives to have a close liaison with the people and inform them about precautionary measures taken by the government in this regard.
