In custody: Bin Laden’s family sent on judicial remand
The three wives and 11 children of slain al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden were sent on judicial remand until March 26 by a district court in Islamabad on Saturday.
Senior Civil Judge of the Islamabad district court Shah Rukh Arjumand gave the order for Bin laden’s family, who were arrested under the foreign act of Pakistan for illegally entering and living in Pakistan.
Superintendent of the Adiala Jail had requested the police to make fool proof security arrangements for the family’s appearance in court. Therefore, instead of taking them to the court, the house in F-6 sector of Islamabad where the family is being kept was declared a sub jail and the judge heard the case there.
According to sources, lawyers from the Tahfuz-e-Namoos-e-Risalat requested the court to give them access to Bin Laden’s family to provide them legal assistance.
The court asked them to submit a written application for consideration, and informed them the challan has already been submitted in the court.
Bin laden’s brother-in-law Zikrya Alsada also appeared in court along with his lawyer and said that the government had called him to arrange a meeting with his sister, Shaim Sharif; however, he has not been allowed to see his sister and her children for four months now.
The judge ordered for the appointment of a translator who could translate Arabic to Urdu for the convenience of the court and lawyers.
Bin Laden’s three widows and 11 children were taken into custody last year after the May 2 raid by US navy seals on the compound in Abottabad.

Let the family of OBL go to Saudi Arabia or Yemen with children/kids. Holding them back in Pakistan means spending money on their upkeep for noting. Investigaton team or teams should have a marathon session with them to extract maximum informatioin. That is all. HADI SAKEY

I think the wives and kids of even mass murderers in America or any country would be protected and given full assistance by any government regardless of whos family they are, it is the matter of basic human rights without which our future as a human race is dark.
So your long term solution to this issue is what? Provide comfortable room and board for the rest of their lives? The reality is that no one wants to be associated with OBL and finding a country that is willing to take these people maybe impossible. It's one of those unintended consequences of harboring the worst terrorist on the planet.
What are they trying to achieve? Did they show any courage to do the same what they are doing today duriing the lifetime of OBL? No. Those who are not Pakistani citizens should be sent back to their countries. End of this very high and vital for the existence of Pakistan matter.
@Isaac Gundumure: Your argument only works if they were being charged with participating in the things OBL had done and they're not. Also, if "the West" wanted them, they'd probably have them.
