Golfers’ miserable campaign ends
Pakistan among the bottom-placed teams in Faldo Series event.
Pakistan golfers failed to spring a surprise on the final day of the sixth Faldo Series Asia Grand final, finishing among the bottom-placed competitors in all the categories after three rounds in the competition.
Mubariz Ahmed, who posted a card of 10-over par 82 on the final day, ended in 15th place in the boys U16 event with a 37-over par 253. Japan’s Masamichi Ito won the event with a 10-under par 206.
In the U18 event, Sameer Merchant finished 16th on 36-over par 252. Singapore’s Joshua Ho won with a total of one-under par 215. Ghufran Ahmed finished eighth in the boys U21 category and Kashifa Zafar finished last in the girls U21 event.
