Cricket: Blues advance to U17 T20 semifinal

Omar Associates Academy Blues qualified for the semi-final of the NBP U17 Inter-Academies Twenty20 Cricket Tournament after defeating RLCA Burewala by eight wickets.

The night match proved to be a one-sided affair as RLCA Bhurewala were bundled out for 43 after opting to bat first. Taha Malik, Muhammad Waqas and Hassan Mohsin picked up two wickets apiece.


In reply, Omar Associates Blues achieved the target in 6.2 overs as Arsalan Farzand made 26 off 11 balls with five strikes to the fence. Muhammad Anees claimed two scalps. In another match, Omar Associates Academy Whites beat Moin Khan Academy by 69 runs.
