Assistant political agent killed in Mir Ali
The assistant political agent of Mir Ali was killed as a result of firing on the premises of Tehsil Building I.

Assistant Political Agent Jamal Azmath was killed as a result of firing on the premises of Tehsil Building I, some 15km north of the main market of Mir Ali, officials said on Tuesday.
A senior security official confirmed the death of Jamal Azmath. “He was hit by three bullets,” said the official, but did not give further details of the incident.
Officials said that a tribal jirga of the Wazir and Dawar tribes was underway to discuss development work in Mir Ali when an unidentified man opened fire, killing Azmath on the spot. “There are also reports of a grenade attack.”
Security forces had cordoned off the area immediately after the incident. The killer was believed to be hiding in the same locality.
Another official said that two more people were killed in the incident, but their identities could not be confirmed.
The body was shifted to CMH Bannu by a military helicopter.
Azmath belonged to the Khattak tribe of Karak and had also served as assistant political agent of Laddah, South Waziristan.
