Non- Functioning: Minister tells EDOs to shut ghost schools
Says EDOs are supposed to monitor if the schools are functioning properly or not.

ISLAMABAD:
Federal Minister for Professional and Technical Training Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada directed the education district officers (EDOs) to shut down ghost schools in their provinces and federal units. “The EDOs are supposed to monitor if the schools are functioning properly or not,” said Pirzada while chairing a meeting of the board of governors of National Education Foundation (NEF). During the meeting, the Chairman was also apprised about the hurdles in monitoring the Basic Education Community Schools (BECS) located in inaccessible areas of Balochistan and Fata.
