Groundbreaking: PM Gilani to visit Mirpur today

Projects include a new campus of Mirpur University of Science and Technology, constructed at a cost of Rs1.56 billion

MIRPUR: Prime Minister (PM) Yousaf Raza Gilani will visit Mirpur on Monday (today) for the groundbreaking of two mega-development projects in education and communication sectors in the district. “The projects include a new campus of Mirpur University of Science and Technology, which will be constructed at a cost of Rs1.56 billion at Jari Kass, and a Rs4.23 billion bridge which will link Mirpur city with Islamgarh town,” said an AJK government spokesperson on Sunday. “The funds for the campus are being contributed by the Higher Education Commission and the AJK Council,” he added.
