Popularity contest: PPP senators visit Karachi Press Club

The senators-elect of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) from Sindh visited the press club and the office of Karachi Union of Journalists on Wednesday.
The delegation included, Saeed Ghani, Aajiz Dhamrah, Dr Karim Khawaja and Sehar Kamran.
Speaking on the occasion, Senator Saeed Ghani said that the PPP believed in the freedom of press and always supported media in their struggle for rights.
He said that the party saw the freedom of expression as a fundamental right of every citizen.
Ghani said that he was committed to working for the welfare of the media and journalists. Aajiz Dhamrah said that he still felt like a part of the journalist community because he had worked as a reporter for some years. The senator later visited the protest camps of engineers of National Programme of Improvement of Water Courses (Sindh chapter) and Vaccinators outside the press club and assured them that the issue of their regularisation will be discussed with the authorities concerned.
