KARACHI:

The Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen Pakistan announced to organise a ‘Quran o Ahle-Bait Conference’ later this month.

The general secretary of the party, Maulana Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, announced that the aim of the conference is to unite all the Muslims against the growing US interference in the country, while addressing newsmen at the press club on Monday. He invited people from all sects to attend the conference which will be held at Nishtar Park on March 25.

So irked was Jafri at the Americans that he blamed their ‘agents’ for the target killings of Shias in Karachi. “They are amongst us but they work for the Americans,” he said referring to the target killers. He said that there is no hatred between the Shia and Sunni communities but the agents are creating misunderstandings. Other Shia ulema who were also present at the press conference said that the US wants an unstable and weak Pakistan and the nation should come together and fight against it.
