Squash: Maqbool, Hanif downed in quarters

KARACHI: Pakistan’s Khawaja Adil Maqbool and Aqib Hanif both fell in the quarter-finals of the PSA Challenger Five SRAM NSC Series Number Three event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Maqbool was defeated by Egypt’s Mazen Heshamga Sabry 11-6, 11-4, 9-11, 11-5, while Aqib lost to second-seed Karim Ali Fathi of Egypt 11-7, 11-7, 6-11, 11-3. In earlier first-round matches, Maqbool defeated Malaysia’s Valentino Bon Jovi Bong 11-9, 11-8, 11-7, while Aqib beat Malaysia’s Gurshan Singh 11-6, 11-7, 12-10.
