RAWALPINDI: Two French nationals were released after being detained for a brief period of time near the Benazir Bhutto airport in Rawalpindi on Saturday.

The foreigners, identified as Apollo Nicolo and Scraenaris Frederick, were taken to the New Town Police Station by a traffic warden after he found them taking pictures of an under-construction flyover in a ‘sensitive area’ on Murree Road.

However, after initial interrogation, both the foreigners were released as they claimed they were not aware that the area they were photographing was ‘sensitive’.
