BARCELONA:
Jean-Eric Vergne of Toro Rosso set the fastest time on the second day of final pre-season testing in Barcelona. Following a delayed start to the session due to heavy fog, Vergne managed to clock in a time of one minute and 23.126 seconds, half an hour before lunch. Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso, who had been quickest for much of the day, had no time to post a faster lap after Vergne had beaten his time of one minute and 23.447 seconds.
