The writer might want to go back to Politics 101. The president now is merely a figurehead after he relinquished his powers and the prime minister has all the powers after the passage of the 18th Amendment. What would President Zardari do even if he was in the country? Cost us more money with his escorts and electric bills? Is he a disaster management specialist? No. Is he a flood relief specialist? No. What value does he add by being in the country? I fail to understand the need to have him around.
