PAF victorious in national skiing event

Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts also register podium finish.

KARACHI: PAF were crowned champions at the 28th Men’s National Skiing Championship in Naltar, while the Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts (GBS) came second at the event and Pakistan Army finished third.

PAF’s Sher Afzal was victorious in the super giant slalom event, while teammate Mohammad Kareem took the silver medal and Pakistan Army’s Mohammad came third. Meanwhile, GBS’ Mir Nawaz stood first in the giant slalom category, while Ishaq Khan came second and PAF’s Liaqat Ali finished third.

The two-day championship featured 56 athletes from 12 teams. The women’s national championship will begin on March 2 in Naltar.
