Amir, 19, was released from prison this month after serving a three-month sentence for his role in a spot-fixing scandal during the 2010 test against England at Lord’s. He has been banned from playing cricket for five years by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
He is due to land in Lahore on Sunday morning, via a Pakistan International Airlines flight Pk 757 along with his lawyer. He is expected to be received by his brothers Ijaz and Naveed, before retiring to his Lahore residence.
It is expected that after resting on Sunday, he will approach the International Arbitration Court on Monday where he will file an appeal against his five year ban on playing cricket.
The Pakistan Cricket Board also intends to question Amir over his role in the fixing saga.
