Targeting Infrastructure: Gas pipelines blown up in Dera Bugti

Unidentified militants placed an explosive device near the pipelines.

QUETTA: Three gas pipelines were blown up in the Pirkoh area of Dera Bugti on Saturday, disrupting gas supply from the area. According to an official, unidentified militants placed an explosive device near the pipelines. As a result of the explosion, gas supplies from three wells were suspended. A heavy contingent of security forces reached the site soon after the explosion and cordoned off the area. “Three gas pipelines were blown up in the Pirkoh area,” an official from Dera Bugti confirmed. Law enforcement agencies have launched a manhunt in the area to nab the culprits.
