LAHORE: A 60-year-old man and his grand daughter were killed in Garden Town on Saturday. According to SHO Waqar Ashraf, the murderer apparently entered the house of Arshad Subhani located at Abu Bakar Block, Garden Town, by scaling the back wall and butchered Arshad, his 3-year-old grand daughter, Khadija, and injured his maid Shumaila, 16. The killer escaped the scene when the injured maid made hue and cry. Dawood Subhani, son of deceased Arshad, and his wife were away shopping. Police speculated that the killings were a result of some enmity. They pointed out that nothing was stolen from the house. The injured maid was taken to Jinnah Hospital where she remains under treatment. SHO Ashraf said the police were waiting her to recover and provide some information. No case had been registered till the filing of this report.
