The Hoverboard

Back to the Future 2 captured our imagination with the concept of a hoverboard.

Simply put, a hoverboard is a skateboard without wheels. But the exciting aspect of the imaginary machine was that it defied gravity and allowed the rider to zoom above the ground. To turn on a hoverboard, one had to simply lean as if they were on a normal skateboard.

Apparently, after the film hit theaters, a popular myth was that the hoverboards in the film were real products — they even had the Mattel logo on them. But this wasn’t true; just the imagination of a few overenthusiastic tech fans running wild.

The Lightsaber

You must be quite familiar with the captivating neon glow of the Lightsaber in Star Wars. Don’t you yearn to know how it would be to own a personal lightsaber which could cut through nearly anything and deflect blaster fire with that cool voom-whoosh sound? You can just go on a rampage, tearing down trees and bushes in your lawn.

Apparently a similar glowing sword is available, but has none of the amazing destructive ‘powers’ of the lightsaber.

Iron Man’s Armour

Ever wondered how it would be to own a suit that transformed you into a superhero? Iron Man’s suit is super cool. It can fly, it’s impervious to most forms of damage and it features repulsor beams that can blast holes in masonry.

Throughout the history of the Iron Man’s appearances in comics, television shows and films, we’ve seen many versions of the armour. While some are large and bulky resembling a tank more than anything else, others are sleek — one suit in fact even had the ability to fold up into a suitcase!
