Targeted attack: MQM supporter killed, another injured
The victim was identified as Mohammad Ali, 28, and the injured, as Waqas Ali, 26.
KARACHI:
A supporter of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was gunned down and another was injured in a targeted attack on Wednesday night in the limits of Kharadar police station. The victim was identified as Mohammad Ali, 28, and the injured, as Waqas Ali, 26. Ali lived in New Karachi and had come to Kharadar to visit his friend Waqas. They were standing near Waqas’s home when two motorcyclists sprayed both of them with gun fire. They were taken to Civil hospital where Ali died and Waqas was admitted with critical injuries. SHO Ejaz Khokhar confirmed that it was a targeted attack and said that the police were trying to find out the motive behind it. The police are waiting for Waqas’s statement.
