LAS VEGAS: Manny Pacquiao lashed out at Floyd Mayweather for making him a financial offer that he knew would be unacceptable to the Filipino. Negotiations between the two camps for a proposed super-fight earlier in the year proved futile and the boxers duly accepted other challenges, with Mayweather set to face Miguel Cotto on May 5 and Pacquiao due to take on Timothy Bradley on June 9. Pacquiao maintained that he had been eager to fight Mayweather if only a suitable offer had been put forward. “Mayweather didn’t want the fight,” said Pacquiao. “He offered me $40 million, and no pay-per-view [money]. What would he say if I offered him $50 and said ‘no pay-per-view’. He wouldn’t accept either.”
