MQM decisions: Nasreen Jalil, Dr Nusrat appointed deputy conveners
They join MNA Dr Farooq Sattar and Anis Qaimkhani as deputy conveners.

Former deputy mayor Nasreen Jalil and one of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) candidates for the upcoming Senate elections received a promotion a day after the party held a successful rally for women in Karachi.
Jalil, along with Dr Nusrat Shoukat, have been appointed deputy conveners of the party’s decision-making body otherwise known as the Coordination Committee or previously the Rabita Committee.
They join MNA Dr Farooq Sattar and Anis Qaimkhani as deputy conveners. Jalil has served in the Senate from 1994 to 2000. The decision, according to a press release issued by the party, was made at a joint meeting of the party’s coordination committee in London and Karachi and received the assent of party chief Altaf Hussain.
