LAHORE:

The governing body of the Lahore Press Club has barred ten members from voting in the elections as the scrutiny committee had found that they did not meet membership criteria, said Muzammil Hussain Gujjar, the head of the scrutiny committee.

Gujjar refused to disclose the names to The Tribune, saying that he did not want to wash the Press Club’s dirty linen in public. However, he said that the 10 were included among members registered in 2010. He said that they had been barred from voting and their memberships may be cancelled by the next governing body.
