LONDON/ KARACHI: Senior Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders Dr Nusrat and Nasreen Jalil were rewarded for their performance over the years, by being promoted as Deputy Conveners of the Raabta Committee.

MQM chief Altaf Hussain sanctioned the elevations, a statement confirmed. It further read that the decision of the appointment was unanimous by the committees in England and Pakistan.

Abid P. Khan | 12 years ago | Reply I had presumed it should have come naturally to MQMthat the party does not divide its members or the society in general on gender basis. Wasn't the Females Only Rally a very self conscious act, an attempt at proving your point? Hopefully, this triggers a mass movement in the nation as a whole, to let women be emancipated on their own terms and spend their lives as they chose. They should not be subservient to males. Declaring a woman to be worth half than a man is the biggest act of bigotry. If anything, she is worth more, she is Eve, the mother of mankind.

Farooq Sattar is MNA and not Senator
