Rehman Malik announces immediate issuance of passport for Saad Shahid

Squash player Saad Shahid had been robbed of his passport, valuables with only three days to his departure.

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Saturday said that squash player Saad Shahid, who was robbed of his passport in Karachi, would be immediately issued a new one so that he can represent Pakistan in an international tournament.

According to a private news channel, Malik too notice of the crime. The Minister said that Shahid would bring laurels to his country and despite it being a Sunday, a new passport must be issued for the racquet-wielder.

Saad Shahid was robbed of valuables, including a mobile phone, Rs 20,000 cash, ATM card, passport and other important documents, three days before heading off for the tournament.
