‘Brake Failure’: Three killed in road accident

ISLAMABAD: Three people, including a woman and her daughter, were killed and seven injured on Tuesday afternoon when a van fell into a ditch in Kallar Kahar, some 20 kilometres from Chakwal. Rescue 1122 said the van was carrying 18 passengers from Manar to Chakwal. The injured were taken to the nearby Fauji Foundation Hospital, from where four were later transferred to District Headquarters Hospital due to their critical condition. The district administration said the accident happened due to brake failure.
