ISLAMABAD: Calling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) an unholy troika, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan said their continued alliance was destroying Pakistan politically and economically.

Imran lashed out at the current setup during a press conference at PTI’s Central Secretariat in Islamabad.

While accusing the government of corruption and non-performance, Imran said PML-N’s friendly opposition has aided the rulers in their “nefarious designs.”

“Underhand deals are being made to get the 20th Amendment through,” he further alleged.

The PTI Chairman also said the government was trying to negotiate another IMF loan to pay the earlier loans, saying it would hold the future generation hostage to the debts incurred by corrupt and wasteful government.

“The political future is compromised because of politicians’ self-interest and fatal alliances with external powers,” he added.

    Oh Imran Khan!
Can you please stop whining now? It’s not amusing anyone anymore. Please put forward your agenda, in concrete words, instead of blindly blaming your political opponents all the time. Right now the repetition of your words sounds more like a broken record or a stuck up tape.

Anyone who diagree with IK statements, pls enlighten us how these three parties (collectively or individually) can take the country out of this mess. As a matter of fact I would include other ruling parties as well.

At the end of day… it will be PTI vs all others (currently ruling). It will be PTI vs. parties of status quo. Just wait and see how they will change their stances against each other just to succumb to power. IK had predicted this a long time ago.

@Imran, Come on man why shouldn’t he, at least he is giving awareness to people. This Un Holy alliance of Three is the damaging factor in our politics. Haven’t you read the latest report in which how many Billions of rupees are lost, what progress have you seen in past few years. Lets be realistic and be aware. We as nation should step up our efforts to root out such corruption. Give this PTI a chance to govern.!!!!!

Imran Khan is very right about the “UnHoly Troika”. Indeed PPP, JUI & PML-N are the main players behind Pakistan’s Worsening situation over the past four Years. The elements of the Troika played their due (unholy) roles very well. While the PPP plundered the Nation; both PML-N and JUI engaged us in NON-ISSUES so as to divert attention from the REAL ISSUES of the Nation. Thus they acted like a PRESSURE-VALVE for the Nation’s anger.
In reward, PML-N got a “Smooth Sailing” in 57% of Pakistan (i.e. Punjab) while JUI got duly rewarded in the form of perky Ministries like HOUSING etc (not to mention Personal benefits for the leaders).
Alas! And as the Election Year sets off, all PLAYERS of the Troika would make us believe that each one of them is “Savior of the Nation” (from Taliban or Establishment or Jewish Lobby).

    @ Imran:
well, if IK’s words are so boring or repetitious, simple solution: do not listen to him, do not read his news, do not watch his program. He does not own any news channels/newspaper/anchors/reporters etc.. BUT the reality is that regardless of your hatred towards him, deep inside you know that he/PTI is the only solution that could take us out of this mess. And that is evident by your obsession of reading/listening/following him and then even commenting on it. Obviously, you have a lot of expectations from him. iA he wont let us down!!!!!!

bahaha…These people amuse me everytime I read their “Imran please put forward your agenda” They want a PTI worker to come to their bedroom and put a USB drive with a powerpoint presentation of the PTI agenda under their pillow. Grow up yaar. Agenda fairy doesn exist. Read newspapers, listen to PTI’s interviews, watch talk shows and then infer who is carrying what agenda. Stop making it sound like your head is just a hat rack.

Can you please tell me the agenda of PPP and PMLN ? IF you know what an agenda is and wht it looks like? You can’t do anything yourself, you are hopeless, yourself don’t have the will to do anything and you keep mocking at someone who is trying his best to do his part to save the nation. All I know is I do not want the old corrupt hags to rule the country again. Imran Khan had millions of dollars and did not do any corruption when he was building the hospital and university. It’s corruption, not extremism, that is the biggest problem of this country

Imran Khan is very right in exposing this unholy trioka in which JUI-F is playing the role of bridging the little gap that has been created between PPP and Noon League over the last few months.PTI’s policy guidelines were always there and that was the creation of an islamic welfare state where health, education, security and employment were the responsibility of the incumbent government. For the concrete policies, just wait for Feb 26 when PTI will present its first detailed policy – the energy policy.Meanwhile, it is Imran Khan’s duty to expose the bad governance and corruption of both the federal and Punjab governments.

  • Feb 7, 2012 - 8:34PM

Imran Khans SC petition says it all, where are the opposition TRIOKA sleeping??
Sad they want interim set up, but they do not want to ask a refund of 8500 billion forthwith??
They want an early election. but they do not want the false degree members out??
time will prove. as it is opposition has already failed. it is not necessary only to be a ruling elite to stop corruption?? Opposition can play a better HONEST role in stopping corruption. Saving 8500 billion was the better bliss and honour and would have brighened the oppositiom chances of a sweeping victory. Not doing wrong but letting wrong being done are they not afraid of the supreme creator and the accountability which is the basis of our existence??

Bro, do not call Noon league as opposition any more ! They have been ruling Punjab for the last 4 years and Punjab is 60% of Pakistan. After the 18th amendment which was passed 3 years ago, the provinces have got greater autonomoy but Noon is still blaming the federal govt for whatever wrong happens in Punjab, be it Dengue killings, be it PIC medicines killings, be it fake intermediate results, be it bad law-n-order in the province, be it thana, ketchehry or patwari culture of Punjab. The so-called Khadim-e-Ala has more than 18 ministeries with himself which is also cause of bad governance .Punjab govt has only 8 ministers whereas federal govt had more than 60 ministers and advisors. My question to Punjab govt: Isn’t there any figure bewteen 8 and 60? Can’t they have 20 ministers so that a balance could be established between efficiency and expenses?

    @Aarvey, india:

a valid point, but the reality is that JuD and JUI are not mainstream political parties, a SIGNIFICANT majority of Pakistanis DO NOT approve their agenda – hence they do not play any important role in policy making of Pakistan. No doubt, they gather a good crowd in their processions, but we all know where the majority of these attendees come from (madarassa students). And poor performance in elections is an evidence of rejection of their agenda by the public.

Now, for a hypothetical case, even if these parties incl. MQM win few seats, should IK/PTI focus on the parties who are majority in parliament or should he focus on these fractions.

Hey there I have got a few questions for you both, answer them so that I can decide who should I vote for? prodemocrats or PTI and also so that my vote counts?

*What change has Punjab Govt has brought other than bringing deadly medicines and dengue mosquitos?
*Why did Nawaz Sharif and Maulana contested the elections in 2008 when PTI boycotted those because they were held under NRO and a dictator?
*What were they doing when parliament was voting for Zardari as President of the country? *Why did they ally with Asif Zardari during all these years time and again? Was he a hope for them?
*Why are they still in the parliament when they no longer have confidence in the government?
*What have they done for the people of Balochistan?
*There have been many opportunities in these last few years to form a strong alliance in oppostion, why has PML-N not done that?
*Where were these people when PTI was holding a rally to oppose Zardari as president at Abpara chowk on 5th September 2008 (a day before Presidential election)?
*Has PML-N spoken something new about the government?
*How can they solve the geniune problems of the public if they are given a chance (like price control, load shedding, taxes payment) ?
*And please do answer this too….What is the agenda of these parties when u guys talk about the agenda of PTI?

I will be waiting for ur response………….

But IK u called Sharif brothers as dengue brothers…………..did u successfully eradicate cancer by building a cancer hospital. Dengue was a natural phenomena and thankfully had a relatively minor effect when compared with other countries in the region. Can disagree with governance standards of SS but if he wouldnt have been the CM the casualties level would have been much higher. IK we havent forgot that it was u who resisted the decision of punjab govt for cheap dengue test………..u even announced to go to courts against it.

the team which u have gathered is not better in anyways than PPP and PMLN or JUI. ironically enough u now have people from JUI too. you champion natinal reconciliation in karachi……..NRO??????…….so that u wont have to discuss ur stance on MQM and on coming to punjab u start smearing again………..strange isnt it. u r ready to aliance with MQM even. some of the biggest land and sugar barrons are now part of your team Mr. Khan you better watch ur words and ur too much self advocated cleanliness and good governance. lastly i really feel pity for those who r so blindly following IK. i know some of them are totally innocent and true to their hearts. they have the right to do that…………but dont do that blindly otherwise it wouldnt be any different from PPP jialas, PMLN matwalas or MQM. we should all try to make our leaders more accountable to us.

We may be underestimating Imran Khan. His similarities with Jinnah Saheb are uncanny.

Like Jinnah Saheb, he is a successful, westernized liberal who simultaneously possess full faith and trust in Islam. Like Jinnah Saheb, he opposes both extreme liberals who align themselves with the enemy and extreme conservatives who promote theocracy. Like Jinnah Saheb, he is the hope of and his hero to people of all kinds of interests, backgrounds, social goals and opinions. He has, like Jinnah Saheb, conquered the West (including success with westernized women of wealth and beauty) in his day, climbed the pinnacle of his profession, and in wise, more mature years, taken up the flag for Muslims. Like Jinnah Saheb, he can not be accused of corruption.

Imran Khan is Pakistan’s second tryst with the light of Jinnah and the hope that he brought to the young and old of India.
