He made this announcement in response to a question related to power outages by MNA Sardar Saleem Haider.
“We have taken steps to produce more electricity to overcome the dilemma of power outage,” Qamar said on floor of the House.
He, however, could not explain how the government will succeed in its claim that there will be no loadshedding from Tuesday.
Private Power and Infrastructure Board Bill- 2011
Earlier, the Senate passed the Private Power and Infrastructure Board Bill- 2011 despite opposition from the Awami National Party (ANP).
The bill, aimed at attracting and facilitating private investment in the power sector, was already passed by the National Assembly. The bill will now be sent to President Asif Ali Zardari for final approval.
The Private Power Infrastructure Board was established in 1994 by the federal government through a notification and later was given legal cover through legislation.
Power minister Qamar had highlighted the benefits of the bill, saying it would help the federal government implement its power policy fully, award projects and facilitate private power companies.
According to the minister, the bill will empower the concerned ministry to coordinate with provincial governments, including Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and other regulatory bodies over the implementation of power policies.

TOTAL stupidity!!!!!!!!! This is the height of mis-management of affairs, from where they have generated electricity in one night???? We have the capacity but can not run it due to circular debt? Now the Govt has decided to print the 3 Arab currency notes on daily basis to pay off the IPP's ( where ever inflation goes) so they may get the credit before the new elections " HUM NAY MULK SAY LOADSHEDDING KA KHATMA KAR DIA". Similar is the case with Gas (CNG), in order to get more collection of taxes the short fall of natural gas has been created or it is toally being mis-managed??????

We often see him sleeping during assembly sessions. This is something which he might have dreamed while sitting in the assembly and suddenly someone must have posted this question to him and he immediately said "No load-shedding from tomorrow". This is a wish of whole nation and he is part of it. Forgive him, please.

They still have heart to lie, load shedding never stopped in Abbottabad and Hazara, other than few exceptions, even today there has been no light since early morning in Abbottabad and its past 2 pm now. Like everyday exactly at 8 am today the electricity was turned off here in Westridge Rawalpindi.The guy must be sleeping when he gave the statement that "No more load shedding in Pakistan:"
We suppose that there is no more load shedding in Pakistan but for how long...? as the summer season is coming and i am sure that they start again the laod shedding as they dont have any proper plan to get rid of that.Govt should find one complete solution for that..

Wow the uncontrollable crisis from last 4 years and controllable till 2018 now has been controlled within few months.Apparently this will be considered the biggest achievement of present government but furtively this achievement shall be cashed for next general elections by PPP's government and this no-lead-shedding achievement and offer is for limited time and is valid for only till the next general elections.This is not permanent offer and achievement.And this statement may be withdrawn and these words may be taken back as Raja Pervez Ashraf any time and any day.

I shouldn't be saying this but given the picture above, I wouldn't purchase anything from this man, not even if he were hawking vegetables on a rehri outside my house.
So the rumor was true... that this was a "created" shortage created so that extortionate contracts could be signed quickly for "rental power plants" to meet the "emergency".
Now that foreign bank accounts have been credited, lo and behold suddenly, no more load shedding. How is that possible ? Did the snow suddenly melt ?
By a constititional amendment, load shedding has been banned. So dont worry. Next the minister is going to ban poverty.
I doubt the load shedding will stop, but this is still a very bold statement to make and put on the record. He's put the government on the spot and made it vulnerable to major embarrassment. My guess is that given the low demand for electricity in the winters, the government may be able to pull this off if it's made arrangements for some excess supply to meet the depressed demand. Such a situation, however, cannot last beyond a few months because demand for electricity will start rising again as the weather gets hotter.

Does anybody here know how long it takes to create additional power-generating capacity? Power requirements for today should have been factored in by Musharraf's government. You cannot generate additional capacity overnight. Yet nobody holds Mushy responsible - the fear of the uniform is still very strong in Pakistan.

Unless we devote all our nuclear resources and knowledge from bomb making to power generation, nothing can change the plight of Pakistanis. We have enough talent and knowhow only the allocation of resources to the civilian use is missing. Things do not happen themselves we have to make them happen.
Here's the secret. Read carefully. The government will print more money, ignoring the recommendations by the State Bank. This money will be used to pay the rental power owners who have not been paid up till now. The power production will resurge only for a short time, but inflation will sky-rocket. The next government who comes after the elections will face the burnt of this policy, not to mention the people of Pakistan. The only way to sustainable power is building more dams; basically hydro power. Nuclear can be good too.
