Spinner Ajmal, the scourge of England's batsmen throughout the series, picked up four for 67 and paceman Gul grabbed four for 61 as the world's top-ranked test team were bowled out for 252 in front of a sparse crowd in Dubai.
Ajmal won the man of the series award for taking 24 wickets. Azhar Ali was named man of the match for his 157 in Pakistan's second innings.
The series yielded 43 lbw decisions, a record for a three-match contest.
A diving catch by Younus Khan at slip off Ajmal immediately after lunch trigged yet another England collapse as it removed Alastair Cook one short of his half century.
The one upside for 27-year-old opener Cook was that he became the second youngest player to reach 6,000 test runs - only India's master batsman Sachin Tendulkar has achieved that feat at a younger age.
Ajmal ripped through Kevin Pietersen's bat and pad to bowl him for 18 before Ian Bell followed for 10, lobbing an attempted square cut off Gul straight to cover point.
Eoin Morgan (31) also fell when he gave Gul the charge only to be caught behind the wicket.
Wicketkeeper Matt Prior tried to keep up England's hopes with an unbeaten 49 but eventually he ran out of partners.
Captain Andrew Strauss (26) and Jonathan Trott (18) were dismissed before lunch.
Strauss was trapped leg before by spinner Abdur Rehman and failed to get the decision overturned by the video umpire.

plz send yunus khan on rest in ODI series
Its a victory to Punjab as most of the team members come from Punjab anyway, Pakistan should acknowledge the role of Punjab. We can make a whole new international team from Punjab only.
@Wajahat Ali Gilgit: Did he really say that? How ironic! Eating his words, no doubt.
Pakistan team has made us so happy and proud this series, there are no words to express our joy. May this historic victory be the first of many to come.
Very well done ~ dil khush hua !!
wow... younus is placed at 5th... azhar at 10th and misbah at 15th... interesting that younus khan is ranked at 98th in bowling... http://www.awamiweb.com/pakistan-cricketers-ranking-after-england-test-series-34460.html
Pakistan Zindabad..SUB KO YEH JEET MUBARAK HOO.
Bring it on india (bcci). If you back off we will consider you bhagoray, cowards
@Imran: now...what is your reaction bro?
And not to mention what Pieterson said"I thought their best bowlers were in our jails " lol
Great Job done by Pakistani Cricket team. Mohsin Khan should be carried on as coach and should not be removed.
MUBARAK ,, MUBARAK , ,, , , , , ,
After the politics and corruption from the team is eliminated, the results are now history. Pakistan has lot of talent if only they have educated leadership which is not hungry for fame and politics. Let their games do the talking. An empty pot makes most noise. Kudos to the team, Misbah and Mohsin.
Nice
A big thanks to news of the world and scotland yard for this....not forget folks they have a big contribution.
Congratz. Our bowlers are going so well!
Consistent
Well done Team Pakistan. An overall great performance. Proud of you.
Slap on the face of those people who want to destroy Pakistan cricket and keep us away from the sports.
Congrats to all team for wonderful match.
Waiting for India in any arena. Well-done Pakistan. Fantastic.
Well done boys, just keep the rythm going :)

The English Coach to his team: "And your name is, "you're wanting", and you can't play in the man's game. You can't score runs? Then go home and tell your wife your troubles. 'Cause only one thing counts in this world: Scoring runs!" hahahaha
@Reuters: tune up your english....its england whitewashed...not pakistan
Absolutely loved Saeed Ajmal's statement after being given Man of the Series- ''I am one happy guy who loves and enjoys cricket.'' We love you too team green!

Well done team Pakistan!!! Thanks for making your motherland and all Pakistanis proud
Awesome performance by Pakistan and congratulations to our team! But Pakistan still need to improve its batting on Aus, SA & Eng pitches if they want to become the world No.1 test side.Pakistan has the bowling in the shape of Gul, Wahab,Ajmal, Rehman, Hafeez that are capable of doing well in overseas conditions.
Pakistan Rising...Zindabad Pakistan ..bravo..
I m sure most of the english players must be yelling this "'Oh mother I can feel the soil falling over my head'.
No use spending dollars on whatmore when we can achieve spending pak rupees
GREAT TEAM WORKS, AND WELL DESERVED VICTORY. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TEAM AND NATION. Now wait and see, when do the bigotary westerners raise doubts and objections on "TEESRA" of Ajju.
@Imran: did you eat your hat.....pak wins within four days.
Pak has broken 104 years old record...... (1907)... after scoring below 100, won the match...
Congratulations to Pakistan ... From India...
@Reuters: Use correct sentence mate! PAKISTAN HAS WHITE WASHED BRITISH!!! :DDDD
Thanks and congratulations to the President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on this brilliant performance of their team PAKISTAN.
MashAllah, 107 year old record broken.
Pakistan Zindabad... GreenWash boys!
England number 1 in the world? Feels like a bad Joke at the moment :D
Pakistan becomes the sixth team in history, first since 1907, to win a Test after being bowled out for less than 100 batting first.
Bye Bye World Number 1. England sank in the Dunes!

See, this was the "TEESRA" Ajju Bhai was talking about. Congrats everyone.
Pakistan make historic clean sweep against England
No.1 syndrome bites England, after it hit India! Pakistan have been amazing and I think Misbah will go down in history as one of the greatest Pakistani captains! Brilliant effort by the spinners, it's always great to watch world's number 1 spinner against some of the top batsman in the ranking.
Good news for the nation... Bravo! Now atleast media have something to show good about the team rather than curse from 6-12pm.
Wow... awesome performance by team green!
Top Team in the world GONE DOWN THE DRAIN !!!! Congtarz Team Pakistan !!!!
bravo...you are the real heroes of Pakistan an unprecedented magnificent all round performance....
Thumbs up if u are expecting a clean sweep !!!
Pakistan white washed .... Congratz Pakistan
Hum Hain Pakistani Hum Toh Jeetengay Haan Jeetangay.. :D
Amazing team, rose from ashes, my mind is full of celebrating mood, strength and joy, good nations live like this..
Congratz PAkistan in advance
Pakistan are one wicket away from completing a 3-0 series whitewash over England in Dubai. Current score, England 237 for 9.
"Brownwash" in making
england is really fighting it out....now pak 80-20 winners but still eng have slight chance until prior lasts
196/6 (82.1 ov) England require another 128 runs with 4 wickets remaining...
game on........
@Vaqar - UK: may be it was typo.....anyway thrilling end to an absorbing series....still anybody's game...though Pak hold advantage with England 181-6....after tea...only 143 remaining.... its 60-40 in pak favour but as soon as target goes below 100...it will become 50-50...judging by the strength of English tail which usually wags....so no time for complacence....
@Salman
It is "Sitters" and not "Setters"!
guys you need to understand one thing that despite England having 2 days to bat for chasing down 324, they have to take short singles or else if they keep blocking balls like misbah did for his 31 runs, i'm sure they'll collapse bearing in mind their current form. persistance is the key here for both teams. Pakistan has enough paint in bag to whitewash Englishmen. Good luck Team Pakistan!!!!
@ lady gaga, its not your music where u can come up lame songs all the time. Adnan is keeping well and he is there in the team just for that. Remember his elder bro used to bat well too but how many setters he used to miss?
Adnan akmal should have been replaced by his brother umar. Adnan has contributed nothing with the bat.
In my opionion England is still in the match and there is a bright chance to win the third and final test. However we can only pray for the success of our Pakistani team instead of saying harsh and proudy words. Who baat kabhi na karain jo Allah ko Borah lagay. Hum apni team kay liyah doah karsaktay hain.
1st session vil be important tomorrow, if pak get 3 wickts than pak otherwise it wil be dificult...............
Pak will win it for sure. How ever they have to caught setters. Its 80-20 to Pakistan. Just the matter of a wicket and England will crumble again. Their middle order is totally out of form and cant play spin well so its quite difficult for them to bat next 3 sessions. Their best chance is Crook and Trott scoring big else they will fall like the way they have being.
@Imran: realistically England can win...what i saw today was that wicket is getting lower but also slower...turn is slow and easier to pick...it is more of Pakistan's inability against left arm spin than anything else which contributed to a collapse and lose 7 for 33..... anyway if Pak has to win than they will have to bowl a little faster for turn to get quicker...if we bowl as slow as we did today then we might see England win....wicket is easy and apart from a few staying low for left handers,....otherwise it is behaving better...so Pakistan need to be serious and non complacent.....290+ in two days is possible if wicket does not get any worse..
in my opinion...it is 60-40 in favour of Pakistan at the moment....but if they negotiate the firat session tomorrow then problems fro Pakistan will start......-
Pakistan can win. They have Ajmal, Rehman, Hafiz, Gul, Cheema. Who are very good from a pitch like in Dubai as the ball will spin. Come On Pakistan!!!!!
@Imran: and how about that devlish spin that the wicket is offering from rough patches??? Come on Pakistan !!!!
England will win. They have 2 days to get 325. Which is very possible. Come on England!!!
Brilliant performance by Azhar Ali and Yonus Khan.
where r those who wanted yunis out of playing eleven?
Wonderful cricket.
Oh great comeback after first innings :) love u Azhar ali and Younis, Bravo
