Tennis: Kohlschreiber eases into 2nd round

Kohlschreiber advanced into the second round with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Olivier Rochus.

MONTPELLIER: Seventh-seed Philip Kohlschreiber advanced into the second round of the Montpellier International tournament with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Olivier Rochus. The German dropped just five games against Rochus in a convincing display. Meanwhile, fifth-seed Feliciano Lopez beat Igo Kunitsyn 6-4, 7-6 and eighth-seed Jarkko Nieminen was made to toil before securing a 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 first-round win over Maxime Teixeira.
