‘Honour’ Killing: Mother slaughtered over suspicion

FAISALABAD: A youth axed his mother after suspecting her of having an affair with a local resident. According to police officials, Mauza Ramana Resident Muhammad Nawaz believed that his mother, Sakina Bibi was suspected of having an affair with one of her neighbours. On Wednesday, Nawaz killed his mother while she was asleep with an axe and then fled the scene.  Police officials have registered a case against the accused Muhammad Nawaz on the complaint of his father, Muhammad Ismail, under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and are searching for the accused.
