Terrorist confesses to involvement in Sea View, Abdul Shah Ghazi bombings

Daud was arrested by the CID earlier this month along with two other men affiliated with the TTP.

KARACHI: Mohammad Daud, alias Waleed, alias Ishaq, arrested earlier this month, confessed on Monday of being the mastermind behind the attacks on the shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi in 2010 and the Sea View suicide blast in 2011.

Daud was arrested along with two other men by the Anti-Extremist Cell (AEC) and Crime Investigation Department (CID) from Baldia town. The arrested are affiliated with the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

CID Additional IG Ghulam Shabbir Shaikh had said that Daud had plotted another attack at the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).

Around 50 kilogrammes of explosives, four suicide jackets, 10 hand grenades, two Kalashnikovs, five detonators and 20 feet of detonating wire was also found.
