Calling all supporters: Protest for regularisation of service

PINGRIO: Thousands of contract teachers will stage a demonstration for regularisation of service on January 31, in Karachi. Approximately 5,800 teachers were recruited for three years on a contract that expires on Tuesday. A bill was submitted to the Sindh Assembly by the education department for the teachers’ regularisation but the session was prorogued for an indefinite period last week. The leaders of contract teachers have called their colleagues from Pingrio, Tando Bag, Khoski, Shadi Large and other towns of Badin district to participate in the protest.
