Pakistan under-19 displayed an erratic performance but still managed to squeeze past South Africa under-19 with a four-wicket win in the second Youth One-Day International played at Wally Wilson Oval, Cape Town to level the three-match series 1-1.

A five-wicket haul from Mohammad Nawaz – adjudged player of the match – enabled Pakistan to restrict the hosts to 126 all out. In reply, Pakistan found themselves in deep trouble at 68 for six by the 23rd over.

However, Saifullah Bangash hit 40 from 48 balls and Usman Qadir also chipped in with a useful unbeaten 22 to help Pakistan get past the finish line. The final match will be played tomorrow.
