Militant Attack: FC man killed in Bannu

PESHAWAR: One Frontier Constabulary official, Muhammad Saleem Khan Afridi, was killed and another injured when militants opened fire at a security post in the Frontier Region of Bannu. The militants had previously threatened to attack the check post if it was not vacated, according to officials. Militants opened fire on the check post located near the Baran Dam. “A wireless operator was killed but our men fought bravely and we killed some of the militants while other managed to escape,” said FC Commandant, Sharbat Khan.
