Spinal cord injuries: NBP, Subh-e-Nau to help quake victims

NBP has pledged to make all possible efforts for Spinal Cord Injured (SCI) patients from the 2005 Kashmir earthquake.

KARACHI: National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has pledged to make all possible efforts for Spinal Cord Injured (SCI) patients from the 2005 Kashmir earthquake. This was discussed in a meeting between NBP and Subh-e-Nau (SN) officials at the Islamabad Club. Tariq Zafar Iqbal, Senior Vice President of NBP, hailed Subh-e-Nau’s efforts to help provide medical rehabilitation services to SCI patients in earthquake-affected areas. He said NBP will stand hand in hand with SN to provide maximum support to these patients. He also pledged to help patients in vocational training in order to enable them earn livelihood. Dr Farrukh Chishtie, Head Research & Development SN, stated there was a need to continue to look after these patients as they were totally ignored by the society at large.
