Memogate: DG ISI submits reply to parliamentary committee
Shuja Pasha submits his reply in the form of a letter to Senator Raza Rabbani.
ISLAMABAD:
Inter-Services Intelligence agency (ISI) Director General Ahmed Shuja Pasha submitted his reply to the Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) probing the Memogate scandal, Express News reported on Tuesday.
Pasha submitted his reply in the form of a letter to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Senator Raza Rabbani, who is heading the parliamentary committee.
The committee formed by the federal government to investigate the Memogate scandal had summoned DG ISI and former ambassador to the US Husain Haqqani last month to explain their respective positions on the matter.
The 15-member panel had also decided ‘in principle' to invite Pakistani-American businessman Mansoor Ijaz.
The multi-party, bicameral committee was also assigned to review Pakistan’s terms of engagement with the United States following the November 26 deadly Nato air raid on Pakistani border posts in the Mohmand tribal agency.
