Dress show: Regional colours at Arid Agriculture University

The variety show included skits, parodies, plays and songs.

RAWALPINDI:


More than 50 students participated in a colourful dress show at arid varsity on Thursday, showcasing dresses embroidered with traditional motifs and designs.


The event was aimed at giving students an opportunity to interact with other cultures and thus create an atmosphere of harmony and intercultural integration, stated a press release issued by Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi.

The variety show included skits, parodies, plays and songs. Famous folk love stories such as “Heer Ranjha” and “Laila Majnu” were dramatized in the show.

The final item of the event was a cultural show highlighting different colours and shades of Pakistani culture.

The best event of the day was “Brides Catwalk”, which won a great deal of applause from the audience.

The Pathan group got first position while Sindh and Modern groups got second and third positions respectively in the dress show.
