Shallum Xavier finds Houston incredible

Fuzon performed in the US this summer after a five-year gap, which also marked lead vocalist Rameez Mukhtar’s debut performance in the country. Along with a selection of songs from their first album, such as “Khamaj” and “Saagar” they also performed covers of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s “Akhian Udeek Diyan” and “Kinna Sohna”.

Fuzon’s Shallum Xavier told The Express Tribune:”Performing to a sold out, packed audience of over 3,500 people at the House of Blues in downtown Houston … rave reviews have named it the best performance by Pakistani artistes in Houston in recent memory.”

About the audience in Houston, Xavier said that they were “singing along to every single song, screaming requests, and witnessing incredible solo sets from each of the performers before they left the stage, the audience was left both satisfied and wanting more.”

Shallum said the excitement continued outside the venue. There were scenes of “screams, tears, requests for pictures and autographs, and many stories of how Fuzon had performed and continued to inspire many local aspiring musicians.”

For the band itself, Xavier says, “Houston was an incredible audience, and Fuzon looks forward to performing again there soon.”

The band is scheduled to tour the US later this fall.

The district of Texas presented them with a US Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition as well.
