On regional outlook: Japanese ambassador lauds Pakistan

The ambassador stressed the regional importance of Pakistan for peace and stability in Afghanistan.

ISLAMABAD: Japan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Ambassador Tadamichi Yamamoto called on Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar on Monday. During the meeting, the ambassador apprised Khar on preparations for the Conference on Afghanistan to be held at Tokyo. He also stressed the regional importance of Pakistan for peace and stability in Afghanistan and invited Khar to attend the Tokyo Conference. Yamamoto also lauded the country’s efforts for Afghanistan’s reconstruction.
