Squash: Fareed, Zaman progress in junior event

KARACHI: More than 60 matches were decided at the Rehana Nazr National Junior Squash Championship with Hammad Fareed defeating Ali Bukhari in the under-19 event, while Sindh’s Noman Zaman prevailing over Shahid Hussain. Fareed beat Bukhari  11-6, 11-7, 11-4, 4-11. In the girls under-19 competition, Saadia Gul beat Faiza Zafar 3-1. Faraz Mehmood outplayed Saad Shahid 3-1 in the under-17 category and Asim Khan defeated Salman Ahmed 3-0. Meanwhile, Israr Ahmed, the newly crowned British Open Under-15 champion, got a walkover in his first match.
