Martin announced the multi-million dollar aid package on behalf of the US government, while visiting a girl’s primary school in Duregi.
“I am pleased to announce $10 million aid on the behalf of United States for the rehabilitation and provision of providing facilities to schools. I will also propose development projects for the area, specifically in the water sector.”
The US Consul General also visited the newly constructed dams for irrigation and was briefed by irrigation officials about how they were benefiting the people. Martin appreciated the initiatives taken to improve the education sector in Duregi, particularly for girls, as well as steps taken to overcome the problems pertaining to drinking water.
US officials were visiting the area on an invitation from Speaker Balochistan Assembly, Aslam Bhootani. Officials comprised of political officers and US aid representatives.
Bhootani lauded the keen interest shown by the US Consul General and appreciated his announcement.

I thought it was the job of the pakistani government to invest in provinces not foreign govts
The US will not leave even a single opportunity to discredit the Govt of Pakistan. While US concern is appreciated, the timings and mode of assistance say it all.
After the recent revelations of how the usa funded a certain religious party, please people usa CAN NOT BE TRUSTED they will go to Baluchistan and stir up more racial divide and divide pakistan...
Americans, Indians, and Israelis better stay away from Balochistan. Pakistan should hold Balochistan like a lion holds its meat, and attack anyone who tries to get a piece of the meat.
Kudos to the American's - Balochistan needs help and hopefully the American's will make sure that money gets spent as it was intended. . @Amjad. I am sure the Afghanis would prefer you mind your own business and focus on cleaning up your own mess.
I really hope this does some good work in Balochistan.
@Qazi: But the West is leaving soon so Pakistan will have to clean up the mess in Afghanistan like when the Soviets were kicked out with Pakistani help.
hope they dont send undercover agents to the balochistan to support the insurgency there. They really want Baloch to part away from the country so they can support ISAF through Gawadar without any thing from the country.
Will it reach to the Balochistani. I have a doubt.
