In Azad Jammu & Kashmir, preparations are under way to hold protest rallies and demonstrations in all ten districts of the liberated territory. These protest marches and rallies will be the hallmark of the scheduled black day.
The day also marks complete solidarity with the people of Indian occupied Kashmir.
The protest rallies are arranged by various social, political and public representative organizations representing people from all spheres of life including lawyers, journalists, members of the business community, laborers, students, women and social and political workers.
In Mirpur, a major protest rally is scheduled to be held at the District Courts premises, organizers confirmed.

Well, scream as they want as long as they limit the damages to PoK. Kashmiri Muslims have to learn to live with rest of India as everybody else and chart their own developments in the state assembly.
Few fanatical Kashmiri Muslims do not represent the entire Kashmiri people who elect their members to assembly. It is like PAK Taliban claiming Pakistan for themselves.
@Disappointed... : You have conveniently ignored a few points that I had raised. Let me refresh your memory. I said, Jammu and Ladhak DONT give a damn to separatism. Its a fact. And major population of both regions are naturally NON-MUSLIM. No body is immigrating Hindus from rest of the country into these regions. Secondly, you cannot say that Pakistan did not sponsor any militancy in Kashmir. It did. Many Pakistanis have themselves admitted that. Thirdly, if you are so holier than thou why not conduct plebiscite to determine the aspirations of Baloch people?
@Disappointed...:
The argument is other way round. Most of Kashmiris (especially the Bhat/Butt brahmins) were forcibly converted by Aurangzeb at knife point. This continued till Sikhs came to rescue. Please refer history.
@IndiKid No wonder the AFSPA issue is becoming such a huge problem for both the Omar Abdullah and the indian government. And I guess the riots of summer 2010 in which ORDINARY Kashmiri civilians took part and which jolted the Indian government were also a myth for you. Keep up your ostrich policy of thinking there are only few Kashmiri separatists. If majority dont give a damn, then why do you need AFSPA and 700,000 paramilitary force to maintain peace. The fact is no amount of importing Hindus into Jammu and Ladhak is going to prevent the place from blowing up if your government doesnt stop oppressing them. Learn from Tunisia and Egypt before it is too late.
@All above: Dont forget J&K has 3 regions : Jammu, Ladhak, Valley. And Jammu and Ladhakis don't give a damn to Kashmiri separatist movement. Moreover, Pakistan should not interfere in India's internal matter. Let this issue be decided between India and some Kashmiri separatists. Why Pakistan provides audience to Anti-India elements in her land? Why should your foreign minister when lands in India meets a separatist first? These kind of cunning acts by Pakistan are condemnable. On one hand you sold Aksai Chin to China and now talk of Kashmir. On one side you suppress Baloch and then talk of Kashmiri aspirations.
@Anon: Guys - the fact that Kashmiris are not happy in India is a well-advertised fact. That Kashmir also contains Jammu and Ladakh, and the people there have no desire for freedom is frequently forgotten. Gilgit-Baltistan is also part of Ladakh. I suggest you guys wisen up to the fact that you have done Kashmir no favors by sending militants in and disrupting the economic progress of this state; we haven't done it favors by messing up elections and keeping the army there for too long. We all need to figure out how to ensure the aspirations of Kashmiris are met in the most acceptable manner.
Let the self righteous Indians and Pakistani's shut up. Kashmir deserves to be liberated from both nations.
@IndiKid Are you blind to the contradiction in your comment? They wouldn't be celebrating a black day is they felt liberated under Indian rule.
@Indikid I think you are forgetting that Nehru promised for referendom.......& nearly 700,000 indian armed forces are really developing IOK.
@indikid technically kashmir shouldnt even be part of any country at all ... and if according to the UN pact it should be...then i guess you or me are nobody to comment on the matter apart from kashmiris themselves through a fair referendum ..... im sure pakistan as well as india both have their own reasons for wanting to keep kashmir...i think its high time when we all grow up and start acting grown ups responsible for whatever happens and let ,for once in the past more-than-half-a-century, kasmiris say what THEY want
"Liberated territory"!!!! Its under Pakistan control, it's not liberated. I as an Indian feel that Kashmir is an integral part (Atoot Ang) of India. No compromise on this is possible. Hopefully, the 'liberated' Kashmiris would do something to improve their living conditions rather than this drama.
kashmir cannot be solved with dialogues......need another way around....
