Boxing: ‘Mystery man’ breaks his silence
“You’re questioning if I did something to harm my Muslim brother Khan?” Mustafa Ameen wrote on Facebook.
NEW YORK:
Mustafa Ameen, the ‘mystery man’ accused by Amir Khan of interfering with the judges during his fight with Lamont Peterson, says he would never do anything to harm the Briton. There is some disagreement over Ameen’s role - Freddie Roach, Khan’s trainer, says Ameen is not a member of any boxing organisation, while Richard Schaefer, Khan’s promoter, says he is involved with the IBF. Ameen has now broken the silence on his alleged involvement in interfering with the result. “You’re questioning if I did something to harm my Muslim brother Khan?” he wrote on Facebook. “Don’t make assumptions based on allegations.”
