Injury: Bresnan ruled out of Test series

Bresnan's right elbow had "flared up" during his recent return to bowling following a surgery.

DUBAI: England will be without paceman Tim Bresnan for the series because of injury, according to the England and Wales Cricket Board.

The 26-year-old paceman, who still has soreness in the elbow which was operated on last month, missed England’s opening three-day tour match. the fast-bowler took 16 wickets in the three Tests he played against India last year – the series that lifted captain Andrew Strauss’ men to number one in Test rankings.
