Board of education: Former IT consultant arrested
The IT consultant was arrested on charges of misappropriation, financial and administrative irregularities.

The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has arrested Dr Majid Naeem, former IT consultant for the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Punjab on charges of misappropriation, financial and administrative irregularities and failure of the online results system he prepared for the BISE, sources said. He was arrested by a team of ACE late Sunday night from his residence, sources added. Earlier, on November 12 last year, Naeem was arrested by the National Accountability Bureau on charges of abuse of authority and misappropriation of funds while he was principal of the Punjab University College of Information Technology. He was later released by the accountability court after depositing a down payment under the plea bargain agreement, with an arrangement to pay the remaining amount in installments. Naeem will be produced before the judicial magistrate on Monday (today).
