Boxing: ‘Mystery man is not an official’
Amir Khan’s trainer Freddie Roach has revealed he knows the ‘mystery man’ accused of interfering with the judges.
Amir Khan’s trainer Freddie Roach has revealed he knows the ‘mystery man’ accused of interfering with the judges at ringside of the Briton’s fight against Lamont Peterson last month, according to BBC Sport. The man under suspicion was identified as Mustafa Ameen, an IBF official. However, Roach has claimed that Ameen is not an official and that he has been involved in an altercation with him in the past. “He comes to my gym,” said Roach. “He came to the US Olympic training centre and I had him removed once. He has absolutely no credentials; he is not a member of any boxing organisation so there is no reason for him to be at ringside.”
