Despite all the heat and rumours that he and the army chief will be sacked by the civilian government, Pasha managed to hold onto his position and give a statement against the government in the Memogate scandal, alleging that he believes the memo has compromised Pakistan’s national security.
Fun fact: Two extensions after retirement age? Thank you Gilani, Zardari.

Well done DG Pasha. You stood firm to our adversaries no matter how strong they were and protected our interests in Afghanistan. Without you, the Americans would have turned Aghanistan (or they already have) into virtually an Indian out post.
Please try not to annoy the present DG ISI, the last thing we want is a rogue Director General who has been looking after the affairs specially the "strategic assets" and the other "varitable arms" of pakistan army and the ISI.
