SIALKOT: Dozens of affected farmers and land owners have protested against the proposed establishment of Sialkot Tanneries Zone near a village Khambraanwala, in Sialkot.

The protesting farmers and growers were of the view that the proposed project of establishment of this tanneries zone would cost 400 acres of fertile land in the region, due to which the farmers and growers would be deprived of their fertile agricultural land.

They said that this project would also badly affect the 400 families of the local farmers and growers, who were totally dependent on seasonal crops being sown on this fertile land.

They urged the Punjab government to shift this project to another place especial to any unfertile land in Sialkot district to save the 400 families of the affected farmers and growers from the coming financial crisis, in this regards.
